The Anzac Weekend Airshow will take place on Saturday 27 and Sunday 28 April, 2024, and will run from 10am to 4pm both days.
In addition to the air display, live music, fashion show, food vans and regional displays and exhibits will be available throughout the day.
You can access the event by car, motorbike, bus, plane… Pretty much any vehicle that has an engine. There will be on-site parking with a courtesy bus.
West Sale Airport is 10km from Sale in Gippsland Victoria, and 2.5 hours drive from Melbourne via the Princes Highway. Rail services run from Melbourne regularly.
A free bus service will run every hour from 9am on the hour from the Sale Art Gallery (Foster St) via the Train Station and the Sale Memorial Hall (MacAlister St) to West Sale Airport. Return buses will run every half hour until 4.30 from the drop off area at West Sale via the reverse route.
There is no charge for aircraft flying in or staying overnight. All non-display visitors will require a ticket to enter the Airshow.
Day visitors will be able to park at the apron in the short term display park. Overnight visitors will need to register to secure a spot in the campsite.
Aircraft will not be able to fly in or out during the airshow program from 9.30am to 3.30pm Saturday and Sunday, so plan your arrival and departure accordingly.
The campsite is located approximately 50 metres from the overnight aircraft parking area. Toilets, showers and limited food and cooking facilities are offered at the site. For more info, please email info@saleairshow.com.au.
